Water Levels are Dropping
Friday, December 9, 2011 - 6:45pm
The Tippecanoe River at Oswego crested on Thursday at 8.47' - which will be the 13th highest level since 1943. The good news is that water levels are now falling throughout the watershed.
You can follow river levels in real time at http://waterwatch.usgs.gov/new/index.php
You can also ask to be sent an alert via email or text message from the USGS WaterAlert site at http://water.usgs.gov/wateralert/ - select the state (Indiana) and type of information (e.g. water level) - then wait for the map to load. When you click on the stream site you are interested in - you can make your selection (e.g. to notify you if the water level reaches more than 7 feet).
